MDL CHLD plans to reshape the way we look at inclusivity in the arts; he values diversity & inclusion and his vision is to merge his profession as an American Sign Language Interpreter and his passion for art & music into a unique and accessible performance approach. He works closely with members of the Deaf Community, both in front and behind the camera, while prioritizing LGBTQ+ and BIPOC individuals, whenever possible, to create performance art, music and videos, that are uniquely captivating & inclusive. His professional roster includes interpreting for the likes of Jay Z, Panic! At The Disco, Shawn Mendes, Jonas Brothers, Thomas Rhett and many more; he grew up with extensive dance & theatre training and has also worked as an ASL/English Interpreter in this industry for over a decade. By Integrating Sign Language into his dancer’s choreography, working with Deaf performers on stage (& behind the scenes), and rapping while simultaneously using American Sign Language, his team creates a mind-blowing, distinctive performance that sets them apart from the rest! This innovative approach allows Deaf and hearing audience members to share an experience together that is equally accessible & entertaining, while providing Deaf performers an opportunity to show the world their unique talents paired with the beauty of their culture and intricate language. MDL CHLD proves that community collaborations are powerful, captivating and inspiring.
